Privacy Policy

Effective: June 17, 2026 · Last updated: June 17, 2026

Our commitment to your privacy

Warder is a privacy tool, and it holds itself to the same standard it helps you enforce. Warder runs entirely on your Mac. It observes when your camera and microphone are in use and records that activity locally on your device. It does not collect, transmit, or sell your personal data, it never sees the video or audio captured by your devices, and it requires no account or sign-up.

What Warder monitors

Warder uses macOS system information to detect when your camera and microphone are activated and which devices and apps are involved. It does not access, view, or store the actual contents of any camera or microphone stream. The privacy activity log it builds — including the apps, devices, and timestamps of each session — is stored on your Mac and stays there unless you choose to export it.

Data you export

Warder lets you export your activity log to a plain-text file. Once you export and share that file, it is under your control — Warder is not involved in where it goes. We encourage you to handle exported logs as you would any other personal file.

Analytics

Warder may use analytics tools to understand how the app is used and to identify crashes and bugs. Any such data is anonymous — it is not linked to you or your identity. This may include:

  • General usage patterns to improve stability and performance
  • Crash and diagnostic reports
  • Anonymous statistics by region, macOS version, and session duration

Third-party services

App distribution and any in-app purchases are handled by Apple through the Mac App Store and are tied to your Apple ID, not to any Warder account. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties. Any analytics providers receive only anonymous, aggregated information.

Security

Because Warder keeps your activity log on your own device and does not transmit personal data to us, there is no central store of your information to be exposed. No method of data storage or transmission is ever completely secure, but Warder is built to keep your data with you, where you can control it.

Children's privacy

Warder is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
